)ME3 SPOILER(#s 'Femshep is best Shep.' )MEA SPOILER(#s 'Sara and Scott are twins.' There is no version that contains all of the DLC for any of the platforms. (ME2 for PS3 comes the closest, but even they have to pay for Arrival). While 360 and PS3 have had sales on various DLCs in the past year, I don't believe I have seen any sales on DLC for the PC (though it's much easier to find the games dirt cheap on PC than it is for the consoles). So the cheapest way to purchase the DLCs is through the PC marketplace/Bioware store. If you are wondering which DLCs to pick up/prioritize, check out the DLC FAQ in the sidebar.
You can buy the trilogy which comes with all 3 games, all dlcs for ME1, many DLCs for ME2 (Story-wise: Zaeed, Firewalker, Normandy Crash Site. Non-important ones: Cerberus weapon/Armour, Digital Art Book, Documentary, Soundtrack, Collector Weapon/Armour, Blood Dragon Armour, Cerberus Arc Projector) and ME3 (which has 5 free multiplayer DLCs, and the extended cut DLC for free). As far as other DLC, you may be able to get the ME3 digital deluxe edition upgrade for PC on sale so that the 'From Ashes' expansion is less than it would cost you with Bioware points (I think it goes on sale for 50% off, so 5 bucks.
Also gives you an art book, A comic, a Mechdog companion, an ingame hoody and the soundtrack.)Sadly all the other expansions have to be bought at full price. I'd skip the weapon/appearance related ones and stick with the story related DLC (Overlord, Shadow Broker, Kasumi, Arrival for ME2. From Ashes (as I mentioned, this one goes on sale sometimes), Leviathan, Citadel, Omega for ME3.)So. 7 story DLCs are never going to be on sale but they should be well worth it regardless. I have spent hundreds buying all the story content for two different platforms for the trilogy. Not that I would ever need to again, but I'll never pay a penny more for those same games. If they pull this shit for the new games I'll be going the way if the pirates.Edit: I think they should definitely be free to charge crazy amounts for aesthetic stuff, but not when it's for stuff that is essential to the plot.
Just makes me feel ripped off and realise that pirates get a better product for free. Your attitude bothers me more than I should let it.I buy games all the time, have spent thousands in my lifetime. Recently dropped £100 on two separate copies of the gold edition (just the games, not collectables) of AC Unity and got burned. Have bought all DLC for the entire Mass Effect series twice over for two different formats.
I don't have much income so i have to be choosy. I choose games over holidays everytime because i can't afford both.I'm no pirate, but if publishers want to be assholes they can get fucked.I have always supported indy devs and big name publishers but have grown resentful of the shit they have been pulling. Is developing IP time consuming?
Should there be fair compensation for that time? Should I encourage assholery by funding it? No.Basically: go fuck yourself if you are a dick. If not, and you don't make shit overpriced games, I'll give you my support.Edit: someone down voted you. I'm up voting you.
I don't down vote people's shitty opinions, only incorrect information. I'm no pirate, but if publishers want to be assholes they can get fucked.Fine by me. Developers think publishers are assholes too. That's they're job - they need to be ruthless in this market. Publishers are business men and marketers. They're not gamers.
They don't care if the game is good, as long as it makes money. The blame often gets shifted to the devs. While sometimes that blame is due, how can a developer make a great game when they're expected to produce Call of Duty # every 12 months?Basically: go fuck yourself if you are a dick. If not, and you don't make shit overpriced games, I'll give you my support.Yes exactly.
This is what I mean by 'vote with your wallet.' If you like a developer and like their game, buy it.
Otherwise, move on. Pirating IS how we vote with our wallets. If you are a respectable company I will gladly buy your product and many people feel the same way. If you are not and are like EA with horrendous online passes, always on DRM, and Origin bullshit, well, you brought it on yourself as far as I'm concerned, for shear stupidity if nothing else since it's obvious these measures don't stop pirates and inconvenience customers. I still remember the launch of Sim City. While all the paying customers couldn't play the game because the servers didn't work I was enjoying myself with my pirated copy. This is why I refuse to support EA and companies like them, but I still want to play their games.so.
I still want to play their games.so.TOO.FUCKING.BAD.You entitled little shit. It's not water. It's not air. It's not civil rights or freedom of speech. It's not something you get due to your very dignity of being a human being.IT'S A FUCKING VIDEO GAME. It's a luxury the VAST VAST majority of people cannot even afford. Yet you feel you have the GOD-GIVEN RIGHT to PIRATE games, made with sweat, and tears and excessive amount of espresso?
